Ch. Tollwest Soda Quacker CD AG.I ADC NAC NCC NJC TG-N TN-N CGC

(Ch. Beinnbhreagh's Jalna's Finish x Ch. Tosser's Makin Waves CD AG.X SMADC CGC)
Born November 5 2001

Soda (Ch. Tollwest Soda Quacker CD AG.I ADC NAC NCC NJC TG-N TN-N CGC) is my pick puppy from Splash's second litter and is my first Toller with black pigment. As a wee pup, she may have looked sweet & innocent but she was really a little brat, she was always the "bad" puppy in the litter. Always escaping the whelping box and puppy pen, when she was not climbing over the top she was simply just removing the bars from the pen! Another favorite activity was attacking pant legs, slippers, shoes, and people's ears and noses! On Christmas Day 2001 (at 7 weeks) she earned the nicknames "Bin Laden" and "Evil" after terrorizing everybody at my mom's house, then finishing off by attaching herself to my mom's ear :)

Thankfully, she has grown out of the worst of her "evil" behaviors. As an adult, she is a lot easier to live with, although still a little brat sometimes! She is very social and outgoing, she is not the least bit shy and loves everybody! She loves to be held and cuddled, and she will sit on your lap for hours if you let her - she really thinks she is a little princess, and the whole world exists to adore her and shower her with attention!

in competition Soda has worked mainly on her agility skills, where right from the start she had shown outstanding potential. She has tons of enthusiasm and believes that the faster you go, the better, so I really get a good workout when I run her!  Her agility trial debut was in July/03, and she finished her AG.N (Agility Novice) title easily, qualifying on each of the 4 Novice courses she ran. In Sept/03, she competed in her first AAC agility trial, and picked up a Q & first place in Starters Standard, Starters Gamblers & Starters Snooker. In October/03 she attended her second AAC trial and qualified in 5 out of 7 runs! She had 1st place in 6 out of 7, with the other being a close 2nd place. That weekend she picked up Q's in Starters Jumpers, Starters Gamblers, Starters Standard, where she got 2 Q's which finished her ADC (Agility Dog of Canada) title, and got to move up to Advanced for her final run of the weekend, which was Advanced Snooker. She had a beautiful smooth clean run, making it all the way through the closing with time to spare. In May/04, she picked up 2 legs towards her Agility Intermediate title. She then took a year and a half off from trialing to raise some babies. She came back to the agility scene in Nov/05, and finished her AG.I (Agility Intermediate) title with flying colors! She made her NADAC debut in November, and Q'd in 7 out of 8 runs she was entered in, earning her TG-N (Novice Touch N Go) & TN-N (Novice Tunnelers) titles. She has since also finished her NAC (Novice Agility Certificate), NCC (Novice Chances Certificate) & NJC (Novice Jumpers Certificate) titles, with 2 legs towards her TG-O (Open Touch n Go).

Soda made her obedience debut in May 2003 and did extremely well, picking up a CGC plus two CD legs, all in one day! 2 months later she made another trip into the ring and brought home her final CD leg, along with a 4th in class! We did a bit of training towards her CDX but Soda told me she would rather do agility!

We've also done some field training. She is very birdy (loves her pigeons & pheasant or grouse wings!) and has tremendous water courage and drive...at only her second-ever trip to the lake (at 7 months old) she was out-swimming Cayenne to the bumper almost every time!

Soda is 17.75" tall and 33 lbs. She has black pigment, dark brown eyes, white feet, white chest, a tiny white tail tip and a few white hairs on her chin, and an easy-care shorter length coat with moderate feathering.

Her conformation debut was in May 2002, where she took Best of Breed and Group 3rd at her first sanction match, and a week later took Best Puppy In Breed at her first official show. She took another Best Puppy in Breed and 2 Reserve Winners in September/02. Despite the ganglies, she picked up her first Championship point on May 19 2003, followed by a winning streak in June of Best of Breed the first day, Winners Bitch the second day, and Best of Winners the third day! In July she went to the National Specialty and took home 1st place in Canadian Bred, then a few weeks later made another trip into the show ring and won a 2 pt Winners Bitch the first day, and a 3 pt Best of Breed the next to finish her Ch at just under 20 months old!

Soda was born and raised on BARF, with both her parents also being BARF fed! Soda is Optigen PRA pattern B by birth (A-C parents). She has been CERF examined, and we will be updating her exam this fall. Her hips are OVC certified. An OFA Thyroid panel is planned for this fall.

Her first litter was born in December 2003, bred to Multi Ch Beinnbhreagh's Great Pleasure, the girl from that "Pepsi" finished her Cdn Championship by 1.5 years old. Soda's second litter was born Jan 2005, sired by Ch Pikkinokka's Ragin' Cajun, 2 puppies from that litter are in show homes, one of which already has 2 points towards his Ch. A repeat breeding to Cajun was born August 2005, and we have 3 pups from that litter in show homes, so far 1 girl Savannah (Tollwest's Summer Magic) has her 1st 3 point major in the US, and 1 boy Avro (Tollwest's Magic Arrow) has a 2 pt Winners Dog/Best Puppy in breed in his first day of showing here in Canada .

Soda was bred this summer to our handsome young man Tollwest's Causing Kaos, the litter was born July 28/06. This was Soda's last litter.

As of late Oct, Soda has officially retired and has gone to a new home in Red Deer where she is the only dog - she loves the idea of getting ALL the attention! :) Her new owner looks forward to starting agility...I am sure Soda can't wait to teach him how to play!

If you are seeking a "bargain puppy" or are "price shopping" please look else where. If you are seeking a quality, well-bred Toller with the correct Toller temperament & instincts, with breeders who will act as a support system throughout the dogs lifetime, please contact us. We sell all of our puppies on contracts that protect the breeder and buyer and most importantly, the puppy. Most breeders we refer to use the same, or similar contracts.

We care about our Tollers and their future. We health test our Tollers and know the history behind them, not just the sire and dam. There are lots of breeders out there that sell their puppies for less than we do. But remember the old saying. "You get what you pay for."

At Tollwest Kennels, we feed and recommend a raw food diet. All our puppies are weaned to a raw diet diet for optimum health, nutrition and development. We are also advocates of limited vaccine protocols. Please ask for more information.
