Kobe is a stunning male from our Maverick x Bounce litter, now co-owned with Chris England in Kelowna BC. Kobe looks a lot like his dam, has a lovely head, a thick red coat with nice white markings, solid bone with deep angles, a short body and a strong topline. He is a lot of fun, very sweet and has a very showy attitude! He is 18.125" tall.

He has had a good base of field training, and at the ripe old age of 5 months, he had already shown he has "the right stuff" in the field, enthusiastically retrieving his first shot grouse. He is a solid retriever on land and water, and loves his birds. He is started on hand signals and whistle. He is an amazing flushing dog, with excellent quartering and trailing. Thanks to Paul T. Kelly for giving Kobe such a good start in his field training! We look forward to hunting with Kobe in the future, as well as trying some hunt tests this year.

As a puppy he attended one conformation fun match, where he not only won Best of Breed out of a good-sized entry, he went all the way to win Best In Match! Kobe stayed here at Tollwest in summer of /08 for 2 months full of training and trialing. He easily passed his Canine Good Neighbor test in July, just a couple weeks after arrival at Tollwest. He had his conformation debut at the Westwinds Sporting Dog Specialty (Alberta Toller Booster show), where he won Winners Dog for his first 2 points. 3 days later he won a 3 point Best Of Winners, putting at halfway to his Championship in one weekend. The other 2 days in between, he was Reserve Winners both times. In Sept he won a Best Of Breed, adding 1 more point to his total. Feb 1/09 he finished his Championship with a 4 pt Best Of Winners!

Kobe has earned his Rally Novice title, and 1 leg towards his Pre-Companion Dog title. We hope to finish his PCD this summer.

Kobe is from an Optigen PRA & CEA/CH Clear to Clear breeding. He the following clearances: Hips OFA Good, Elbows OFA Normal, Patellas OFA Normal, Cardiac OFA Normal, CERF Normal. Kobe is a proven sire, and he is available at stud to approved bitches.
