Tollwest's Causing Kaos CD RN CGN The first puppy born in Bounce's first litter, Kaos was the puppy that my husband Ken announced would be "his dog"! Kaos has a beautiful blend of both his parents attributes. He has an outstanding head, a thick golden-red coat with lots of white in all the right places, solid bone with deep angles and a strong topline. He is 20" tall and 47 lbs. He is from a slow-maturing line, and I don't expect him to be fully matured and filled out until he is at least 4. He is a real sweetie, very affectionate. He is quite laid back with a very good "off switch" and he loves to cuddle and hang out with Ken while watching wrestling or hockey. He is a bit reserved with strangers at first but soon comes around and then he will be in your lap! Kaos is very bright and has taken to training very well, he also has lots of enthusiasm for toys, birds, swimming and retrieving. We are actively training in field work.
We are training actively in obedience and rally, and he really enjoying his training sessions! Like his daddy Tango, he is a very willing and enthusiastic worker that always tries his hardest to be right. He is also very toy motivated, although we train primarily with praise and play as a reward. He works with lovely style and attention and a big grin on his face! He passed his CGN (Canine Good Neighbor) test with flying colors in Aug/07. In early Feb/08 he made his obedience and rally debut, picking up 2 PCD legs & 1 Rally Novice leg! His next trial on Feb 29, he finished his PCD title! In April he picked up his 2nd Rally Novice leg, and his first leg towards his CD. He finished his CD in his next 2 trials, including a High In Class Novice B win! He finished his RN title with a perfect score of 100! He has also earned his first leg towards Rally Advanced. Kaos had his conformation debut at the beginning of February/06. Although he didn't pick up any points that weekend, he showed very nicely and brought home a Reserve Winners ribbon each day! One of Kaos' siblings "Mallory" did pick up her first 2 point win that same weekend, she has since finished her Canadian Championship, her PCD and also has 1 point towards her US Championship, another sister "C'ozzie" has 9 points in Canada, and 8 points & 1 major in the USA. A brother "Maverick" finished his Championship before the age of 10 months, with several Best of Breed wins over a top-winning special, and also won a Group 1st the day he finished his Championship! Kaos made a return to the ring in July/06, where at the age of 11 months he won a 2 pt Winners Dog the first day, a 4 pt Best Of Breed (over 3 specials) the second day, and a 2 pt Winners Dog the third day, he also won best Puppy in Breed all 3 days, and won Best Brace In Show (partnered with his half-sister Curry).
Unfortunately, Kaos was involved in a serious accident in December/06 - he got away from the dog walker while at the off-leash park, and ended up on a road, where he was hit by a truck. He was badly injured, with a dislocated hip and broken pelvis. Thankfully, a team of specialists were able to put him back together, but he had a long slow recovery ahead of him.
Thankfully, Kaos recovered exceptionally well after the accident. Hydrotherapy twice a week helped to build back up the muscles in his back end. He loves the Hydrotherapy - to him it just means he gets to fetch a ball in a heated indoor pool! By summer it was felt he was now sound and able to return to the show ring, so we entered him in the Alberta Kennel Club August show. And on his second day back in the ring, he won a 3 pt Best of Winners to finish his Championship, just 3 days after his 2nd birthday, and only 8 months after his accident. To then go on to earn his CGN the same day was icing on the cake! Kaos is from an Optigen PRA & CEA/CH Clear-Clear breeding. His hips received a Preliminary Good rating from OFA at 12 months old. (due to his car accident he will not able to get a final OFA report on his hips, but we re-xrayed him at 3 years old - the hips themselves still look great!) He has been CERF examined Normal, OFA Heart Normal, OFA Elbows Normal & OFA Patellas Normal. He is standing at stud to approved bitches only. If you are seeking a "bargain puppy"
or are "price shopping" please look elsewhere. If you are seeking a
quality, well-bred Toller or Chesapeake with the correct temperament &
instincts, with breeders who will act as a support system throughout the
dogs lifetime, please contact us. We sell all of our puppies on contracts
that protect the breeder and buyer and most importantly, the puppy. Most
breeders we refer to use the same, or similar contracts. At
Tollwest Kennels, we feed and recommend a
raw food diet. All our
puppies are weaned to a raw diet diet for optimum health, nutrition and
development. We are also advocates of
limited vaccine protocols.
