In order to keep our "in-house" number of dogs low so that we can give them optimum care & attention, we occasionally have breeding stock to place in approved "foster homes". Foster families must live in the Calgary, AB area, we reserve show/breeding rights for our foster dogs and all dogs in our foster program must be kept intact (not spayed/neutered!) The foster family must agree to follow certain conditions set out in our Caregiver/Foster Agreement, please notice this includes the dog coming back to Tollwest once a year to raise litters for us (girls) or occasionally coming back to us for stud services (boys). Once a foster female is finished in our breeding program (usually after 3 litters), she is spayed and CKC ownership transferred to the foster family and then lives permanently with the foster family. Foster males are generally placed into foster homes under an agreement to keep the dog intact until 7 years old. Please contact us for more details! We occasionally have younger dogs/puppies that are available to foster homes, there may be a fee (in addition to retaining show/breeding rights) for foster puppies. We currently have no dogs available in our foster program. If you are seeking a "bargain puppy"
or are "price shopping" please look elsewhere. If you are seeking a
quality, well-bred Toller or Chesapeake with the correct temperament &
instincts, with breeders who will act as a support system throughout the
dogs lifetime, please contact us. We sell all of our puppies on contracts
that protect the breeder and buyer and most importantly, the puppy. Most
breeders we refer to use the same, or similar contracts. At
Tollwest Kennels, we feed and recommend a
raw food diet. All our
puppies are weaned to a raw diet diet for optimum health, nutrition and
development. We are also advocates of
limited vaccine protocols.
Please ask for more information.
