Feather is a lovely female from our Maverick x Bounce litter, that has decided to stay here with us at Tollwest. She looks like much like her sire, has a lovely head with beautiful expression, a bright red coat with nice white markings, a strong topline and black pigment. She is a busy, active outgoing girl that loves to run, jump and play. Feather is also extremely affectionate and loves to snuggle! She is very showy, with a natural free-stack, and lovely movement, with lots of reach and drive, and very clean coming and going. She is 18.125" & 31 lbs at 1 year old.

She had her conformation debut in March/07, and won Reserve Winners and Best Puppy In Breed her first day in the ring, and a 3 point Best of Winners & Best Puppy In Breed the second day, not bad at all for a 6 month old baby! In April she won another 3 point Best of Winners/Best Puppy, at 7 months old. After a few months break, she returned to the show ring in July, winning a 2 point Best of Winners/Best Opposite Sex/Best Puppy at almost 11 months old.

She attended the 2007 Canadian National Specialty, where she won 3rd place in 9-12 Puppy Female Sweepstakes, and 4th place in the 9-12 Puppy Female official class at the Canadian National Specialty, and also won Reserve Winners Female at the BC All Retriever Club Specialty! In early August, she finished her Championship with a nice 2 point win, a week before her first birthday.

We have started her in field training. She has a lot of natural drive, style and birdiness, and can swim like a fish! She has a natural love of birds - her very first time seeing a duck, she picked it up with no hesitation, in fact she thought it was the best retrieving object ever! But then what else could you expect from a dog named Feather? We look forward to putting some field titles on her as well as hunting with her for waterfowl and upland birds in the future. She will also be starting in training for obedience, rally and agility when she matures.

Feather is from an Optigen PRA & CEA/CH Clear-Clear breeding. Her hips are OFA Preliminary Good, and elbows are OFA Preliminary Normal. Her Patellas are OFA Normal, her heart is OFA Normal, her thyroid is OFA Normal, and she has a normal CERF eye exam (Oct/07).

Feather headed south to California at the end of Sept, to JavaHill (home of her sire Maverick) - Linda is leasing Feather to play in the US show rings and to raise a litter. We miss Feather while she is gone, but know she is having a great time! On Nov 10, she won her first point towards her American title!

Feather was born and raised on BARF, both her parents are BARF fed of course, too!

If you are seeking a "bargain puppy" or are "price shopping" please look else where. If you are seeking a quality, well-bred Toller with the correct Toller temperament & instincts, with breeders who will act as a support system throughout the dogs lifetime, please contact us. We sell all of our puppies on contracts that protect the breeder and buyer and most importantly, the puppy. Most breeders we refer to use the same, or similar contracts.

We care about our Tollers and their future. We health test our Tollers and know the history behind them, not just the sire and dam. There are lots of breeders out there that sell their puppies for less than we do. But remember the old saying. "You get what you pay for."

At Tollwest Kennels, we feed and recommend a raw food diet. All our puppies are weaned to a raw diet diet for optimum health, nutrition and development. We are also advocates of limited vaccine protocols. Please ask for more information.
