(Ch. Pikkinokka's Tyler At The Well x Ch. Pikkinokka's Seaside Tempest)
Born March 28 2000 - March 13 2009

Cayenne was my second Toller, brought home in the spring of 2000. She was my wild child, my demon puppy...a lively bundle of energy and determination...and I loved it!

Cayenne was reserved with strangers, but exceptionally loving and affectionate with family and friends she knew. Like many Tollers, she was tennis ball and frisbee obsessed, she would retrieve for hours and even slept with a ball in her mouth! She was a very steady and reliable dog to work with, she was a perfectionist, hated to make mistakes and always gave 100%.

We worked quite a bit on field trainin. She was a retrieving fanatic, a good swimmer with fantastic water entry, an excellent marker and persistent even in heavy cover. Unfortunately she really did not enjoy real birds, so we never competed in hunt tests. She passed her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test with flying colors at only 13 months old. She also passed both her CGN (Canine Good Neighbor) and TT (Temperament Test) We did a bit of training towards competitive obedience, then put it aside to focus on agility. She also did a bit of tracking.

Agility is where Cayenne truly shined, she currently earned 24 agility titles, and was very close to finishing several more titles! She earned her first title, ADC (Agility Dog of Canada) with AAC in her first weekend of trialing (May 4/5 2002), earning a qualifying score in 6/8 runs, and was in the ribbons for 7/8 runs!

In CKC agility, she now earned her AG.N (Agility Novice), AG.NJ (Novice Jumpers With Weaves), AG.I (Agility Intermediate), AG.IJ (Intermediate Jumpers With Weaves), AG.X (Agility Excellent) and AG.MX (Master Agility Excellent) titles.

Cayenne earned her ADC (Agility Dog of Canada), AADC (Advanced Agility Dog of Canada) & MADC (Master Agility Dog of Canada) titles with AAC, and working towards her ATChC  (Agility Trial Champion of Canada) & master games titles. She also earned 2 legs towards her AD (Agility Dog) title with USDAA, after a single weekend of trialing - unfortunately there is very few USDAA trials in this part of the world so never got a chance to finish that title.

In July/05 at her very first NADAC trial, she got 5 out of 6 possible Q's earning her a NGC (Novice Gamblers Certificate). She attended several more trials and earned her NAC (Novice Agility Certificate), OAC (Open Agility Certificate), EAC (Elite Agility Certificate), NGC (Novice Gamblers Certificate), OCC (Open Chances Certificate), ECC (Elite Chances Certificate), TG-N (Novice Touch N Go), TG-O (Open Touch N Go), TG-E (Elite Touch N Go), TN-N (Novice Tunnelers), TN-O (Open Tunnelers), NJC (Novice Jumpers Certificate), OJC (Open Jumpers Certificate), WV-N (Novice Weavers), and WV-O (Open Weavers) with 2 legs towards her TN-E (Elite Tunnelers). She has earned a NADAC Novice Versatility award, and a NADAC Open Versatility award.

Cayenne spent very limited time in the conformation ring, as it is NOT her favorite place to be (she finds it degrading to be groped by strangers - I find it hard to disagree with her!)...but in the very limited showing she has had, she did well. In May 2002 despite being very out of coat, Cayenne took Reserve Winners Bitch the first day, and on the second day she took Best Of Breed in an entry of 6 for her first 3 points! In Aug 2002, she took Reserve Winners at the BC Toller Booster. Her next trip into the show ring, despite being 6 weeks pregnant, she took Winners Bitch 2/3 days, bring her total point count to 5... halfway to her Championship! She made an appearance at the 2007 Canadian National Specialty, where she placed 3rd in Veterans Sweepstakes. That was her final day in the conformation ring.

Cayenne had a dark pink nose, amber eyes, white chest, white feet, a small white tail tip and a smudge of white just above her nose. She was quite small for a female at exactly 16" and 28 lbs. She had a shorter but thick and somewhat wavy coat in a copper color, with a beautiful bushy tail! Cayenne was CERF examined (normal), PRA Optigen B (Carrier), CEA Optigen Clear, hips OFA Good, heart OFA Normal, patellas OFA Normal.

Cayenne's first litter was born Nov 20, 2002, the sire was BIS/BPIS/BISS Am/Cdn Ch. Ruaview's Cape Breton Schooner CGC. This has turned out to be an exceptional litter, with 4/5 pups in the litter in show homes, Rascal has his Can Championship, PCD, CGN, CGC & TT titles.... Pyro won a BPIG, BPIS, Can Championship, an AKC Ch with 4 majors & 3 BOB, and recently won an AKC Group 4th.... Shooter has his CD, RA and has 9 points toward an Am Ch....  and finally Blaze has her Can & Am Championships, is a CKC Best In Show winner, has placed in the top #10 Tollers in Canada every year she has been shown (#9 in 2003, #4 in 2004 and #1 for 2005) and also has her CGC, CGN & PCD titles as well as 1 CD leg.

Cayenne was most recently bred to Tango (Am/Can Ch Tollwest Dances With Waves CD, RNCL, AG.N, NJC, TG-N, TN-N, CGN) and the litter was born February 11/2006. This is a very similar breeding to the litter that produced BIS winner Blaze. We kept Kiley from that litter, who easily finished her Championship and is now trialing in rally. This was Cayenne's last litter, so we could focus more on her agility career.

Cayenne was the "Flower Dog" at our wedding July 8/06, and she was such a wonderful addition to both the ceremony and the reception. She took her role very seriously and seemed to enjoy herself immensely, despite the tremendously hot day.

If you are seeking a "bargain puppy" or are "price shopping" please look elsewhere. If you are seeking a quality, well-bred Toller or Chesapeake with the correct temperament & instincts, with breeders who will act as a support system throughout the dogs lifetime, please contact us. We sell all of our puppies on contracts that protect the breeder and buyer and most importantly, the puppy. Most breeders we refer to use the same, or similar contracts.

We care about our dogs and their future. We health test all our breeding stock and know the history behind them, not just the sire and dam. There are lots of breeders out there that sell their puppies for less than we do. But remember the old saying. "You get what you pay for."

At Tollwest Kennels, we feed and recommend a raw food diet. All our puppies are weaned to a raw diet diet for optimum health, nutrition and development. We are also advocates of limited vaccine protocols. Please ask for more information.
