Born November 20 2002

Blaze is a beautiful female from Cayenne's first litter. Blaze was originally co-owned by Simone Sortwell of Tollchester Kennels and myself, after I leased Blaze for her first litter, her ownership was transferred completely to Simone. Blaze is very sweet and affectionate, and loves to swim and retrieve. She has a small white tail tip, white feet, white chest, and a narrow blaze of white on her face. She has excellent bone, a wonderful head & expression, ideal tailset and great length of leg. Blaze has beautiful balance with full reach and drive. 18.25" and 36 lbs.

Her conformation debut was in May/03, where she won Best Puppy in Breed both days, and also picked up her first point at only a couple days past 6 months old! She placed 4th in a very strong class of 9 Junior females at the 2003 Canadian National, and later that day won Best Puppy In Group in the all-breed show! The following week, she picked up a 2 pt Winners Bitch & 2 Best Puppy In Breed. She returned to the show ring in Sept/03 - on the Friday she won Best of Breed, Group 4th & Best Puppy in Group! Then on Saturday, she won Best of Breed, Group 4th and Best Puppy In Show, to finish her Championship on her 10 month birthday! After that, she was specialed on a limited basic, with numerous Best Of Breed wins to her credit. She finished of 2004 as #4 Toller in Canada, and #1 Bitch! The decision was made to campaign her for 2005, and she has done extremely well. She is unofficially the #1 Toller so far this year according to my calculations, also she is very close to making it into the top 10 Sporting! She was BOB at the 2005 BC Toller Booster in July. On Aug 20/05 Blaze made breed history by being the first female Toller to ever win an all-breed CKC Best In Show! In Sept, she won an Judge's Award of Merit at the 2005 Canadian National Specialty in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and later that same day won a Reserve Best in Show! Less than a month later she headed to Albany, Oregon for the US National Specialty were she won another Judge's Award of Merit! She was also invited to attend Crufts in 2007.

In May/04 she made her AKC show debut, and came home with a 3 pt major, Best of Breed and Group 4th her first day out! She soon picked up a second 3 pt major BOB, followed by two 2 pt BOS wins. She finished her Am Ch easily.

She worked extremely well in obedience, and graduated from Advanced Obedience at only 5.5 months old. She made her obedience debut at only 7 months old, and had 2 legs towards her PCD (Pre-Novice obedience title) before she turned 8 months! She now has her CGC & CGN titles and finished her PCD title in the next available trial at 12 months old. She now has 1 leg towards her CD (Companion Dog) as well as 1 leg towards her RN (Rally Novice) title. She has also done some agility and flyball.

Her eyes are CERF normal (Oct/05), hips are OFA Good, heart is OFA normal, thyroid is normal. I leased her for her first litter, bred to "Tango" - Am/Can Ch Tollwest Dances With Waves CD TG-N TN-N CGN...we had a beautiful litter of 3 boys born Jan 3/06.

If you are seeking a "bargain puppy" or are "price shopping" please look elsewhere. If you are seeking a quality, well-bred Toller or Chesapeake with the correct temperament & instincts, with breeders who will act as a support system throughout the dogs lifetime, please contact us. We sell all of our puppies on contracts that protect the breeder and buyer and most importantly, the puppy. Most breeders we refer to use the same, or similar contracts.

We care about our dogs and their future. We health test all our breeding stock and know the history behind them, not just the sire and dam. There are lots of breeders out there that sell their puppies for less than we do. But remember the old saying. "You get what you pay for."

At Tollwest Kennels, we feed and recommend a raw food diet. All our puppies are weaned to a raw diet diet for optimum health, nutrition and development. We are also advocates of limited vaccine protocols. Please ask for more information.
